Make Your Own Mason Jar Hanger
You will need a piece of wood (I found this one on clearance at Michaels for $2), a mason jar, a cup hook, a mason jar lantern hanger that can be found near the mason jars at most stores these days (or you can totally make your own using wire), and either stain or paint.
Start by staining or painting your piece of wood.
Next, twist your cup hook into the wood close to the top. My wood already had a hanger, but if you are using scrap wood, you will either need to drill two holes and string some twine through for hanging or you can add a hanger to the back.
Now, hang it up wherever you like. I hung mine on our patio so we could use it for different purposes. For day to day use, I can add some cut flowers and water and use it as a vase.
Isn’t it super cute filled with fresh cut tulips?
If we are having a cookout, I can add some silverware…
Or add a tealight candle and use it as a hanging lantern! It really is a fun, versatile project! I think I may make a bunch and line our rather large and boring wood fence with them and add candles to them!
Today, I clipped some of my peonies and added them…aren’t they pretty? Hope y’all are inspired to make your own mason jar hanger! What would you put in yours? Leave a comment below with your ideas…I’m dying to hear them!
